BENEVOLENCE SUNDAY ~ April 7th

On April 7th, we will take up a separate offering designated for the benevolence fund.  This is an opportunity to support fellow church members, and those within the community in need.  If you feel led to contribute, please mark your envelope “benevolence”.

SAFETY & SECURITY TEAM MEETING ~ Sunday, April 7th – 12:30pm

There will be a meeting for all safety and security team members after service in the Fireside Room.  Lunch will be provided.

NW DISTRICT ASSEMBLY 2024 ~ April 10th – 12th (Kennewick, WA)

FAITH PROMISE ~ Sunday, April 14th – 10:45am

Guest speakers are David and Shelley Webb

Pastor David and Shelley Webb have served as a Global Missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene for more than 15 years in Central America and Mexico. Since June of 2021 David and Shelley have been pastoring at Mid-Valley Nazarene Church in Weslaco, TX.

 WOMEN’S FAMILY MEAL PREP

Session #1 – Tuesday, April 23rd ~ 12pm-3pm                          

Session #2 – Saturday, May 4th ~ 9am-12pm

  • 1st-5th grade Childrens Church– dismissed after children’s sermon in sanctuary.

SFNAZ YOUTH MINISTRIES

ACTIVITY SCHEDULES

Pastors Justine and Lake want to come support you at your events!  If you are currently part of a sports team, music group, theater production, or anything else, and would like Justine and Lake to attend, please bring a schedule to youth group or email it to justinew@sfnaz.org

 

ATTENTION 6-12 GRADERS join us every week up the in the Youth Loft for:

  • Start with games in gym, then separate into MS and HS small groups

  • This is a time for parents (and students) to officially be introduced to Pastors Justine and    Lake and learn about what the youth group will be doing the next couple months.  Let us know if you are planning to attend by signing up on Church Center.  Lunch will be provided.

SAT ~   April 27th – 5:00pm – Youth Hangout Night

FRI-SUN ~ May 17-19 – NW District Young Adult Retreat

SENIORS ~ If you are interested in going to the Northwest District Young Adult Retreat, talk to Pastor Lake or Pastor Justine.

  • Where: Leavenworth, WA
  • Why: To get involved with other young adults from around the Northwest District and see what is available after you graduate this spring.

WORSHIP MINISTRY UPDATES

Worship Team

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!

MISSIONS CORNER

 

District Missions Convention

The Northwest District Assembly and Missions Convention will be held April 10-12 in Kennewick, WA. You can watch the live stream at www.nw district.org  The Missions Convention will be April 12th from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

 

Faith Promise is scheduled for April 14th this year.  Our guest speakers, Rev. David and Shelley Webb have served as Global Missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene for more than 15 years in Central America and Mexico.  Since June of 2021 David and Shelley have been pastoring at the Mid-Valley Nazarene Church in Weslaco, TX.

 

Mission News

– Nazarene’s compassionate ministries Philippines and the Nazarene District response team provided immediate help to 400 affected families from 18 areas in Eastern Mindanao due to the severe flooding that devastated the province.

– Churches from the Venezuela Primero District have been finding ways to get the youth and children of their Church involved in missions. Thanks to multiple efforts from the District NMI team, children’s missionary orientation camps and missionary books are being used.

Box of Hope brings light to Philippines children. This year box of Hope was brought to children near the Iligan Church of the Nazarene. Nearly 2,000 boxes of thoughtful gifts were delivered in Mindanao.

– In Africa West Francophone field, the first woman District Superintendent was appointed.  Jeannette Mukendi, of the Cote d’Ivoire Central District is the first woman to hold this position on the field.
