In the process of being a Pastor, I am called upon to do different things. Sometimes it is praying for someone or just being quiet and listening. Sometimes I get to have a fun time and pray for a baby or officiate at a wedding. Most pastors do a lot of memorials. I love to walk along with others in whatever life event they are going through.
The last memorial was amazing. If ever there was a Proverbs 31 woman, she was it. I want to give just a few highlights!
A wife of noble character who can find. She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her, she lacks nothing of value. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
This woman was all of these attributes, and more. How does the world look at these assets? Is it culturally expected to fulfill all of this list to be a super woman?
Before you think that this is a preview for Mother’s Day, it is not. Perhaps, it is more of living a good life, daily for both men and women. Let me take you down another path that will be for everyone.
I would like you to look at 2 Corinthians 3:2-3
2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Paul wrote this for his Corinthian converts. The new covenant is written on the tablets of our hearts. Oh, my goodness, we are to be living letters, not written by ink. But written by the Holy Spirit. This by far is the woman I talked about. Can we attain this letter written by the Holy Spirit? What does it take to be the living, walking letter written by the Holy Spirit and written on tablets in the heart? We need to walk daily with the Master. We need to keep this relationship above all others. We need to be in His word and be praying to him. And also listen to what he says daily.
We can be living walking letters of Christ, not written by ink but with His Spirit and recognized by others. They will see you are guided by the Holy Spirit. They will know that you are directed by the Spirit of God. They will know! God bless you as you walk daily as a letter written by the Holy Spirit and have tablets written on your heart.
Blessings,
Pastor Wanda
