SFNAZ ANNOUNCEMENTS

REFLECTING GOD DEVOTIONAL ~ Spring

  • The spring devotional, “Reflecting God” is available at the information counter.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

  • Dick Boston was presented with the Distinguished Service Award for 2023. We are so thankful for the years of service he has served the church in so many different ministry areas.

 

 

TITHING ENVELOPES

Individual boxes of tithing envelopes are no longer available.  The new tithing envelopes are available in the pew racks and at the information counter.  If you are in need of additional envelopes, please contact the church office.  Thank you for your continued support by the giving of your tithes and offerings.

LIFE GROUPS

Life groups are starting again!  There may be some new groups looking for members, so be sure to watch church center to see which group God is leading you to join.

UPCOMING EVENTS

ALABASTER SUNDAY ~ February 11th

Bring your loose change for the wheelbarrows on February 11th.  Alabaster Offerings build buildings for the Church of the Nazarene all around the world.  Dollar bills and checks work too.  A special Alabaster Box for your gift can be found at the Missions Kiosk.

THE UNLIKELY JOURNEY (ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE) ~

          Wednesday, February 14th – 6:30pm

 

In place of our regular Wednesday Night activities, join the entire church family in a multi-generational Ash Wednesday service.  Childcare will be available for ages 3 and under.

SENIOR LUNCHEON ~ Wednesday, February 14th – 12:00pm

Join us at Old European. Call Roberta to RSVP 509-325-0711.

MEN’S CONNECTION BREAKFAST ~ Saturday, February 17th – 9:00am

Please join all generations of SFNAZ men, for a time of food and fellowship.  You will have a chance to get acquainted with other men within our church walls, learn about them, their hobbies, and interests.  The new Men’s Ministry committee will present the upcoming events being planned for 2024.  Breakfast will be served at 9:30am.  Sign up on church center or at the information counter.

SFNAZ ANNUAL ELECTIONS ~ Sunday, February 18th & 25th

SFNAZ members are invited to cast their ballots for our annual elections.  Voting will take place before and after worship service.

NEW CLASS BEGINS MARCH 6 ~ Taking Control of Your Finances

Being financially responsible allows one to feel safe and secure and eliminates stress in one’s family.  From a Biblical perspective, God has provided us a blueprint to manage our finances and to pass on wealth to our children and others when we model ourselves after His Word.  Join us in this life-changing, hands-on 6-week course to learn and apply God’s principles.  Ongoing coaching will be available so we may successfully incorporate these concepts into our daily lives.  Childcare is available.  Pick up a flyer at the kiosk.

ALL COMMUNITY HYMN SING ~ Sunday, March 10 – 3:00pm

Presented by the Spokane First Nazarene Theatre Organ Society.  Come sing some of your favorite hymns.  Free admission.  All are welcome.

MEN’S CLAY SHOOTING at LANDT FARMS ~ March 16th @ 9:00am

Come out & “Break Things” with the men & boys of SFNAZ with another fun day of Sporting Clay Pigeon shooting at Landt Farms.  You will need $30 for the shoot, plus your gun & ammo.  No gun?  No problem!  Need help paying?  Let us know.  Check-in is at 9:00am and shooting starts at 9:30am.  Lunch will be provided, and we will finish up about noon.  Ear and eye protection are recommended.  Register on church center!  For more information, contact Scott Fuller 509-879-6670.

  • Nursery (Infant through 3 non-potty-trained years old)
  • PreK – 5th Learning and Growth

10:45am

  • Nursery-Toddlers (Infant through 3 non-potty-trained years old)
  • PreK- Kindergarten Childrens Church (3-year-old potty trained through kindergarten)
  • 1st-5th grade Childrens Church– dismissed after children’s sermon in sanctuary.

Wednesday ~ 6:30pm – 7:45pm

  • Nursery:Infant through 3 non-potty trained
  • Pre K: If’s, And’s & But’s
  • 1st-5thCase for Christ for Kids Small Group Studies and games.

Saturday, February 10th – Pre-Teen Gym Night – Spokane 1st Naz Gym

  • Gym Night Pre-Teens and Middle School ~ pizza and ice cream. Bring a friend and you both will be entered in a drawing for a gift card.

Sunday, February 11th – Super Cereal Bowl Sunday – 9:30am

  • K-5th – All kids will gather in E6 for cereal and a Super Bowl testimony.

Wednesday, February 14th

  • All family Ash Wednesday service 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. Childcare for 3 and under.  This will be a special evening of worship for the entire family to prepare us for the Easter Season.

Friday, February 23rd – 10:00-11:30am ~ Mom’s Connect

  • Bring your children of any age to play in the gym while the moms can catch up on life. Moms, if your kids are in school and you want to fellowship, please still come.

Needs in Children’s Department:

  • Pre-K teacher for 9:30 Learning and Growth
  • Helper for Pre-K teacher for 9:30 Learning and Growth
  • Nursery help for both hours on Sunday

WORSHIP MINISTRY UPDATES

Worship Team

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!
