NAZARENE YOUTH CONFERENCE FUNDRAISER – TEEN FOR HIRE

  • Teen for hire is up and running! If you take a look at the SFNAZ Youth kiosk, you will see all the many jobs our teens can do for you. If you need help with fall clean up, decorating for Christmas, moving, painting, childcare, etc. we have a teen to help you. For more information, contact Jordan Roth.

ALABASTER SUNDAY ~ October 9th

  • Have your loose change for the wheelbarrows on Sunday. Alabaster Offerings build buildings for the Church of the Nazarene all around the world. Dollar bills and checks work too. Doug Jones, will be preaching.

SENIOR LUNCHEON ~ Wednesday, October 12th – 12pm

  • Join us at Old European. Call Roberta to RSVP 509-325-0711.

SFNTOS POPS CONCERT ~ Thursday, October 20th – 7pm

  • Join us for a free organ concert in the sanctuary. Acclaimed theatre organist, Lance Luce will be performing.

WORSHIP WORKSHOP ~ Saturday, October 22nd – 1pm

  • Marsha Schlangen is offering a free vocal worshop here at the church for anyone interested. All ages welcome! The workshop will be from 1pm – 4pm. If you are interested, contact Marsha (509) 280-5319 or voiceworksspokane@gmail.com.

BENEVOLENCE SUNDAY ~ Sunday, October 31st

  • On the fifth Sunday of the month, we take up a separate offering designated for the benevolence fund. This is an opportunity to support fellow church members, and those within the community in need. If you feel led to contribute, please mark your envelope “benevolence”.

ALL-COMMUNITY HYMN SING ~ Sunday, November 6th – 3pm

  • Presented by the Spokane First Nazarene Theatre Organ Society. Come sing some of your favorite hymns. Free admission. All are welcome.

Adult ministries

Adult Learning & Growth ~  Sunday – 9:30am

Young Adult Bible Study (Ages 18-24) ~ Mondays – 7pm

  • Young adults are invited to join us on Monday evenings for a new Bible study “One at a Time” by Kyle Idleman at 7pm in the teen loft. For more information, please see Brandon & Nicole Chambers.

Men’s Group ~ Tuesdays – 6pm

  • The Tuesday night men’s group would like to again extend an invitation to join them on Tuesday nights at 6pm in person in the Fireside Room. The group rotates weekly between topical discussion, marriage, church history/apologetics, and scriptural study.

Adult Bible Studies ~ Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7:45pm

  • Adult Bible Study ~ “Gaining Wisdom from Proverbs” in the Fireside Room. Visitors welcome! This class is also available via Zoom. Click here to join Adult Bible Study on Zoom or enter the meeting ID 9664266598 after tapping “Join a Meeting” in the Zoom app.

children’s ministries

NURSERY NEEDS

  • We are in need of volunteers to help hold/play with babies and toddlers on Sundays and Wednesdays. We would like to continue with a co-op style system. If you have children in children’s dept. we would ask you to give an occasional Sunday to serve.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE

Learning & Growth ~ 9:30am – 10:30am

  • Nursery-Toddlers (Infant through 3 non-potty trained years old)
  • PreK – Kindergarten Class (3-year-olds must be potty trained)
  • 1st – 3rd Grade Class
  • 4th – 5th Grade Class

10:45am 

  • Nursery-Toddlers (Infant through 3 non-potty trained years old)
  • PreK – Kindergarten Class (Children’s Church)
  • 1st – 5th Graders will worship in the sanctuary, then be dismissed to join Children’s Church in the Ed Wing.

Wednesday Night Schedule:

6:30pm – 7:45pm

  • Nursery: Infant through 3 years non-potty trained
  • Bible Learning Lab (Preschool)
  • Miracle on Main Street Rehearsal (Kindergarten – 5th)
Upcoming Dates
  • Christmas musical: practice Wednesday nights kindergarten-8th grade. We might need a couple high schoolers for parts contact me if you are interested. Kids are already doing great. If your child is thinking they may be interested, please contact me for a cd. Save the date performance will be December 18th .

FALL FUN NIGHT ~ Friday, October 21st – 6pm

  • For ages Kindergarten-5th grade from 6pm-8pm. There will be crafts fun fall treats and a movie, to kick of the fall.

Be on the look out for more information on how we can bless Evergreen Elementary and Teachers in the up coming months.

Wanna be part of the church choir?

  • You can use your voice to praise God and help lead our congregation in worship. The choir will meet on Thursday evenings to practice. ALL ARE WELCOME, see Karen or Dave Dixon for details.

  • We need volunteers to “man” the youth kiosk in the Holy Grounds and answer questions about the envelope wall and other fundraisers – contact Jordan to sign up.

  • We need your help to spread the word. Facebook, Instagram, family, friends, neighbors – great items for teacher gifts, stocking stuffers, holiday decorating… and more!
    It’s not too late to join – talk to Karen, get your craft together and we’ll add to the website so you can start selling! We’ll keep the items up and available through the end of November.

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!
