SFNAZ ANNOUNCEMENTS

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK

  • Second Harvest foodbank has a program that provides a 25-35 lb. food box once a month to those over 60 years old, who meet low-income guidelines.  A flyer and further information may be obtained at the church office Tuesday through Thursday 10am-2pm.

GRADUATION SUNDAY ~ June 4th

  • We will be honoring our 2023 graduates on June 5th. We will have a moment during the service to recognize them and pray for their future goals.  After the service in the Holy Grounds, there will be a cake reception in their honor and an opportunity for the church family to give them cards and encouragement. If you are a parent of a graduating student, please contact Karen for more details.

VBS 2023 ~ June 26th – 29th | 9am-12pm

  • This year join us as we climb aboard for mountains of fun on Rocky’s Railway! Ages 4 years old through 6th grade are welcome. Registration is now open! Let your friends and neighbors know too! Click here for more details.

ALL-CHURCH COMMUNITY BBQ ~ June 28th – 6pm

  • Bring a side and join us out on the back lawn for a community BBQ. Save the date! More details to come!

Bereavement

  • Audrey Ferguson passed away on March 13th. Please continue to pray for Jim as he transitions into this new time of his life without her.
  • Casandra Hershberger’s sweet mother, Melba Hull passed away on April 13th. Please continue to pray for Casandra, Pastor Wes and the rest of the Hershberger family as they mourn the loss of their matriarch.

Adult Learning & Growth ~  Sunday – 9:30am

Young Adult Bible Study ~ Mondays – 7pm | Conference Room

  • New Study – “How to Face Life’s Challenges” begins Monday, May 8th.  For more information, please see Brandon & Nicole Chambers.

Men’s Group ~ Tuesdays – 6pm

  • The Tuesday night men’s group would like to again extend an invitation to join them on Tuesday nights at 6pm in person in the Fireside Room. The group rotates weekly between topical discussion, marriage, church history/apologetics, and scriptural study.

Adult Bible Studies ~ Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7:45pm

  • Adult Bible Study ~ “Romans and Current Events” in the Fireside Room. Visitors welcome! This class is also available via Zoom. Click here to join Adult Bible Study on Zoom or enter the meeting ID 9664266598 after tapping “Join a Meeting” in the Zoom app.
  • Adult Bible Study ~ “Forgotten God” by Francis Chan in the Library

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 

We have been so blessed to have a growing children’s ministry department.  With that growth in the ministry, we are in desperate need of volunteers to continue the ministry to our children and pre-teens. If you can give of your time (one or two times a month) for the following areas, please contact Jordan ( jordanr@sfnaz.org)

  • Check-in Counter, Wednesday Night 6:10-7:45 on a rotational basis.
  • Wednesday night hall greeter on a rotational basis.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE 

9:30am  

  • Nursery-Toddlers
  • PreK – Kindergarten Class (3 year old potty trained through Kindergarten) 
  • Learning & Growth: 1st-3rd and 4th-5th grade classes 

11am 

  • Nursery-Toddlers (Infant through 3 non-potty trained years old) 
  • 1st-5th grade Children’s Church– dismissed after worship in the sanctuary. 

 Wednesday Night Schedule ~ 6:30pm – 7:45pm 

  • Nursery: Infant through 3 years
  • If’s, And’s & But’s: PreK/Kindergarten
  • Small Groups for all 1st-5th: Gather in E6 for lesson all together then break out into small groups. Finish in the gym with snacks and games.

Meet at the church at 3PM. Bring your own bike (contact Karen if you need to borrow) Don’t forget a helmet and about $5 for doughnuts! 6-mile ride round trip. We will be back to the church around 5:30. SIGN UP HERE!

Worship Ministry Updates

Worship Team

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!
