SFNAZ ANNOUNCEMENTS

The church voted in favor of changing NMI to “Missions” on the local church level. And the Mission Chairperson will be serving a 3-year term aligning with all other board positions with a 2-term limit.

  • The spring edition devotional, “Reflecting God” is available at the information counter.

TITHING ENVELOPES

  • Individual boxes of tithing envelopes are no longer available.  The new tithing envelopes are available in the pew racks and at the information counter.  If you need additional envelopes, please contact the church office.  Thank you for your continued support by the giving of your tithes and offerings.

 LIFE GROUPS

  • There may be some life groups looking for new members, so be sure to watch church center to see which group God is leading you to join.

UPCOMING EVENTS

 Taking Control of Your Finances ~ Wednesdays – 6:30pm

  • Being financially responsible allows one to feel safe and secure and eliminates stress in one’s family.  From a Biblical perspective, God has provided us a blueprint to manage our finances and to pass on wealth to our children and others when we model ourselves after His Word.  Join us in this life-changing, hands-on 6-week course to learn and apply God’s principles.  Ongoing coaching will be available so we may successfully incorporate these concepts into our daily lives.  Childcare is available.  Pick up a flyer at the kiosk.

ALL COMMUNITY HYMN SING ~ Sunday, March 10th – 3:00pm

  • Presented by the Spokane First Nazarene Theatre Organ Society.  Come sing some of your favorite hymns.  Free admission.  All are welcome.

SENIOR LUNCHEON ~ Wednesday, March 13th – 12:00pm

  • Join us at Old European. Call Roberta to RSVP 509-325-0711.

MEN’S CLAY SHOOTING at LANDT FARMS ~ Marcham

  • Come out & “Break Things” with the men & boys of SFNAZ with another fun day of Sporting Clay Pigeon shooting at Landt Farms.  You will need $30 for the shoot, plus your gun & ammo.  No gun?  No problem!  Need help paying?  Let us know.  Check-in is at 9:00am and shooting starts at 9:30am.  Lunch will be provided, and we will finish up about noon.  Ear and eye protection are recommended.  Register on church center!  For more information, contact Scott Fuller 509-879-6670.

LADIES BRUNCH ~ Saturday, March 16th – 9:00am

  • Ladies, you are invited to join us at the church for a morning of food, fellowship, and a fun craft.  Childcare is provided for ages 10 and under.  Register on church center or at the information counter.

 WHAT IN THE WORLD IS A NAZARENE? ~ Sunday, March 17th – 12:30pm

  • If you are interested in learning more about becoming a member of SFNAZ, Pastor Wes will be offering a 3 ½ hour class on March 17th.  Sign up on church center or at the information counter.

ALL CHURCH DINNER ~ Wednesday, March 20th – 5:30pm

  • Join the church family for this special Wednesday evening event!  We will enjoy dinner (soup, salad, & bread), cookie decorating, and have some fun crafting.  Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and under.

Format: This year we will be live and in person at the Three Rivers Convention Center. A hybrid option may be available for those with special circumstances.

Live Streaming: A live streaming link will be posted at www.nwdistrict.org. Non-delegates are welcome to watch online. Delegates participating online will need to use the app for any voting.

 WOMEN’S FAMILY MEAL PREP

  • Session #1 – Tuesday,  April 23rd ~ 12pm-3pm                         
  • Session #2 – Saturday, May 4th ~ 9am-12pm

Would it bless your family to be able to have meals in the freezer to utilize when life is busy?  Join us for fellowship and serious freezer meal preparation.  Details are developing.  There will be a charge per meal.  Sign up and you will be contacted with details.  There will be a limit of 6 ladies per session. NW DISTRICT ADULT SPRING RETREAT ~ A JOURNEY OF GRACE

  • Join the NW District for an Adult Spring Retreat, “A Journey of Grace” May 24-27, 2024 at Ross Point Camp, Post Falls, Idaho.  The speaker is Pastor Jim Clifton.  Pastor Jim has been in ministry for over 40 years, serving as pastor, camp director, discipleship ministries president, and since retirement, as an interim pastor.  Pamphlets available at the information counter.

Worship Team

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

 Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!

Missions Corner

 

Thank you church for your generous support for the Alabaster offering.  Just a reminder, if you turned in your box, please pick up a new one at the missionary kiosk and fill it up for the fall offering. And thank you for the crisis care kits.  We received 62 kits!

Mission News

The Church of the Nazarene ministers in 164 world areas. India Nazarene celebrated its 125th anniversary! Australia Nazarene continues its love your neighbor campaign projects.  In Nigeria, evangelism helps establish new district of Port Harcourt. Jesus film harvest partners has reported to have helped over 19 million people to make decisions for Christ!! Jesus films are working in 67 countries with 1,166 teams!! 8 new sets of Jesus film equipment sets were delivered to South Africa.

         

Prayer

We ask prayer for Rev. Lavrindo Domingo’s, who is the new Jesus film coordinator in Angola.  He was involved in a motorcycle accident. Some men taking advantage of the situation robbed him of all his equipment and belongings.  Although Lavrindo will be okay, we pray that God will return to him all that he needs for his ministry.

Missionaries ‘Amanaki In-Kwon and ‘Ofa Jeong-Seok Kim will conclude their ministry in Tonga in January 2024. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and clear calling to be with them.  Pray for the Mango Tree Church in Tonga, where most of the church members are disabled including the pastors.

Continue praying for Tim and Michelle Eby, that they find favor with the South African consulate in New York and that their visas will be renewed for another 3 years.
