NEW SENIOR PASTOR @ SFNAZ

  • Pastor Wes Hershberger has been affirmed as the new senior pastor of SFNAZ. We will welcome him and his wife Casandra at his installation service on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Please continue to pray for them as they make the transition to Spokane.

SFNAZ ATTENDANCE SHEETS

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance sheet located on your pew on Sunday mornings. This sheet helps the pastor and staff know who is not in attendance so that we can check in on you to make sure everything is ok.

SFNAZ THANKSGIVING DINNER

  • Thank you to everyone who helped serve, cook, clean, and decorate. There were over 30 people gathered who enjoyed Thanksgiving together as a church family.

NYC FUNDRAISING

  • Still wanting to help our 15 teens raise money for NYC- here are some ways!
    • Envelope Board in all still in the hall
    • Teen for Hire- need help in the yard, around the house check out teen kiosk for more information.

CHRISTMAS LOVE OFFERING

  • If you would like to bless the pastoral staff with a Christmas Love Offering, mark your gift “Pastors’ Christmas Gifts” and place it in the offering plate.

MIRACLE ON MAIN STREET PERFORMANCE ~ Sunday, December 18th – 10:45am

  • You are invited to come and watch the children come up with some unique, comical, and heartfelt ways to share the Christmas message with friends and family.

HOLIDAY ON PIPES ~ Sunday, December 18th – 6pm

  • Come enjoy this Christmas Organ Concert and Sing-Along!
  • Theatre organist, Dave Wickerham will be performing. This is a free event.

CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT & COMMUNION SERVICE ~ Saturday, December 24th – 4pm

  • Join us in celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior.
  • Childcare available for ages 4 and under.

CHRISTMAS SUNDAY SERVICE ~ Sunday, December 25th – 11am

  • One service only. No sunday school.
  • In order to give everyone the opportunity to attend service with their families, there will be no childcare available.

Adult ministries

Adult Learning & Growth ~  Sunday – 9:30am

Young Adult Bible Study (Ages 18-24) ~ Mondays – 7pm

  • Young adults are invited to join us on Monday evenings for a new Bible study “One at a Time” by Kyle Idleman at 7pm in the teen loft. For more information, please see Brandon & Nicole Chambers.

Men’s Group ~ Tuesdays – 6pm

  • The Tuesday night men’s group would like to again extend an invitation to join them on Tuesday nights at 6pm in person in the Fireside Room. The group rotates weekly between topical discussion, marriage, church history/apologetics, and scriptural study.

Adult Bible Studies ~ Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7:45pm

  • Adult Bible Study ~ “Gaining Wisdom from Proverbs” in the Fireside Room. Visitors welcome! This class is also available via Zoom. Click here to join Adult Bible Study on Zoom or enter the meeting ID 9664266598 after tapping “Join a Meeting” in the Zoom app.

children’s ministries

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 

We have been so blessed to have a growing children’s ministry department.  With that growth in the ministry we are in desperate need of volunteers to continue the ministry to our children and pre-teens. If you can give of your time (one or two times a month) for the following areas, please contact Jordan ( jordanr@sfnaz.org)

  • Check-in Counter, Wednesday Night 6:10-7:45 on a rotational basis.
  • Pre-school teacher and helper on Wednesday Night. This can be once a month or more.
  • Helper on Wednesday night for 1st-5th. An extra hand, hall monitor, games in the gym after

 

SUNDAY SCHEDULE 

9:30am  

  • Nursery-Toddlers
  • PreK – Kindergarten Class  (3 year old potty trained through Kindergarten) 
  • Learning & Growth: 1st-3rd and 4th-5th grade classes 

11am 

  • Nursery-Toddlers (Infant through 3 non-potty trained years old) 
  • 1st-5th grade Children’s Church– dismissed after children’s sermon in sanctuary. 

 

Wednesday Night Schedule ~ 6:30pm – 7:45pm 

  • Nursery: Infant through 3-4 years  
  • Christmas Mmusical Rehearsal (Kindergarten – 8th grade): During the months of November and December on Wednesday nights we will be preparing for our Christmas musical called, Miracle on Main Street.
  • This year we will be performing “Miracle on Main Street” by Celeste Clydesdale. We are inviting all Kindergarten through 8th grade students to join this wonderful opportunity.  
  • Dress Rehearsal Dates:
    • December 14th 6:00-8pm FULL COSTUME (please note extended time) 
    • December 17th 10:30-1:00pm FULL COSTUME (lunch will be provided) 
  • Performance Dates:
    • December 11th – 10:45am, sing a couple songs during Worship
    • December 18th – 10:45am, FULL PERFORMANCE
    • December 24th –  4:00pm sing a couple songs during Christmas Eve service

HANDS & FEET MINISTRY

 

  • As many of you know, for many years on the 4th Wednesday of the month the children Kindergarten- 6th grade have participated in a ministry called Hands and Feet. This is a way for them to minister and give back within our church, the Spokane community and even outside the US.  There are so many ways to serve.We are reaching out to you, our church family for help. How can you help?  
    1. Would you like to spearhead one of these evenings? Commitment would be one Wednesday 6:30-8:00, and whatever time it takes to set up. Be in charge. (We will make sure you have plenty of help) 
    2. Do you have a great idea of a way the kids can serve? Please share your ideas and we will find someone to take the lead. 
    3. Show up to help in any way needed! No planning needed. Just come and be a light to the kids.

Dress up nice to go out for a night of sampling cuisine from around the world with all your friends. You will feel like you’ve traveled around the world and back – without ever leaving the church – dining at fabulous restaurants with excellent service. 5:00-9PM, $10 – must sign up.

FRI DEC 30  All Youth Group Late Night Event  Trivia & Coffee @ Holy Grounds
8-11 PM, $5.  Come enjoy fun cafe drinks and trivia with your friends. You’ll have to put on your thinking caps and hope your team knows the answers! Bring a friend. Need 16 teens to sign up in order to hold event.

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!
