Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart,

Give thanks to the Holy One,

Give thanks because He’s given

Jesus Christ, His Son.

And now, let the weak say, “I am strong,

let the poor say, “I am rich because of what

the Lord has done for us.”

Give thanks.

We are entering a season of many opportunities to give thanks to the Holy One.  Wherever we find ourselves today, whatever we feel, whatever we need-  we first of all need to remember every day, all day- to have a grateful heart for what the Lord has done, and for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

In the midst of much turmoil in our lives and our world, to be centered in God’s presence with a thankful heart will help us to live in gratitude and to pray for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

I give thanks today for the gracious love of God the Father, the saving grace of Jesus the Son, and the ever-present Holy Spirit who directs and convicts when it is needed.

In everything, give thanks.
