MISSIONS CORNER
June is World Mission Broadcast Month!
Over the last 27 years, the scope of what the media can do has grown exponentially. In this fast-paced field the church has an incredible opportunity to utilize these new methods in spreading the gospel. June has been designated as the World Mission Broadcast Global Offering month. During this month the Church of the Nazarene wants to emphasize the ways in which the denomination is sharing the gospel through broadcast and to offer a chance for local churches to take part. World Missions Broadcast began as the Nazarene Radio League in 1944. Since then, it has expanded to include mobile audio, streaming video, and other new technologies in addition to traditional radio broadcasting. The work of WMB has been especially active in the Asia-Pacific Region. As just one example, “Against the Flow” is a radio broadcast in Manila, Philippines that has a reach of 15 million people. Local churches can take part in the vision of WMB by praying for those who have taken on the ministry of sharing the gospel through mass media and those who will be reached by that same media. Churches can also give financially. “Against The Flow” itself cost us $2.19 for a single minute of airtime. The ministries of WMB are helped tremendously by the generous donations of the local church around the world.

For us at SFNAZ, part of your Faith Promise giving goes to support World Mission Broadcast.
Thank you for continually supporting Missions through Faith Promise giving.
Thailand Church grows from ministry to Myanmar diaspora community
A vibrant new church was planted in the heart of Chonburi, Thailand, after years of faithful ministry, international discipleship, and leadership development among the Myanmar diaspora and Thailand. Shalom Church, officially launched this year, is a powerful testimony to the fruit of grassroots evangelism and local leadership multiplication. The story of Shalom Church exemplifies a broader movement across Southeast Asia, one powered by grassroots efforts, local empowerment, and international discipleship. The transformed lives within the Myanmar community are a testament that when leaders and disciples are nurtured, entire communities can be uplifted and changed.
Rebuilding lives: Response to trauma in Myanmar
A trauma-informed care initiative provided essential psychological support to more than 130 children under 15 and their families at the Sein Pan neighborhood evacuation center in Mandalay from April 15-17, 2025.
Meanwhile, Adam, Joshua and other pastors provided prayers and spiritual support to 30 households.
“We listened to the children’s fears and show them God’s love through action,” said Ram Tin Par. The initiative’s impact was clear when a 4.5 magnitude aftershock struck on the final day, yet children and adults reacted calmly. Parents praise the initiative with one mother urging and extension saying, “It has brought our children peace.” This request underscores the ongoing need for support. Joshua stated, “Many victims have begun to heal. Through love, we’ve shown them they are not alone.” Trauma-informed care programs are vital in addressing trauma and fostering long-term recovery in the community.
