SFNAZ WELCOMES THE HERSHBERGERS
- Pastor Wes, Casandra, & Taylor Hershberger arrived in Spokane! Pastor Wes was installed as Lead Pastor of SFNAZ by NW District Superintendent, David Mowry and presented his first sermon series “Just Jesus”. We are so grateful to have them as part of the SFNAZ family and are excited for the opportunity to serve alongside them. Thank you to everyone who helped move boxes, dropped off meals, and prayed for them during their time of transition.
ALL-CHURCH 80’s THEMED SKATE DAY
- Thanks to everyone who came out to Pattison’s for skate day! Special thanks to Wayne and Jeanne K. for being completely unbiased judges.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
- Dwight and Janet Hille were presented with the Distinguished Service Award for 2023. We are so thankful for the years of service they have served the church in so many different ministry areas.
UPCOMING EVENTS
SFNAZ ANNUAL ELECTIONS ~ Sunday, February 19th & 26th
- SFNAZ members are invited to cast their ballots for our annual elections. This year we will be voting to elect a Board Member as well as members to represent the church at District Assembly & Festival of Missions. Voting will take place on Sunday February 19th & 26th before and after worship service.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER ~ Wednesday, February 22nd – 5:30pm
- Join us in the Holy Grounds to enjoy a meal before midweek activities. Pulled pork sandwiches will be served. Dinner will be prepared by NYC teens and their parents. All donations will go towards NYC 2023. Sign up in the Holy Grounds.
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE ~ Wednesday, February 22nd – 6:30pm
- In place of our regular Wednesday Night activities, join the entire church family in a multi-generational Ash Wednesday service. Childcare for ages 5 and under.
WORK & WITNESS INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS ~ Sunday, February 26th – 12:30pm – 2pm
- Informational meeting on the Kenya 2024 Mission Trip. Bring a sack lunch and meet us in the Fireside room.
ALABASTER SUNDAY ~ February 26th
- Bring your loose change for the wheelbarrows on February 26th. Alabaster Offerings build buildings for the Church of the Nazarene all around the world. Dollar bills and checks work too.
A special Alabaster Box for your gift can be found at the Missions Kiosk.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We have been so blessed to have a growing children’s ministry department. With that growth in the ministry we are in desperate need of volunteers to continue the ministry to our children and pre-teens. If you can give of your time (one or two times a month) for the following areas, please contact Jordan ( jordanr@sfnaz.org)

- Small Groups for all 1st-5th: Gather in E6 for lesson all together then break out into small groups. Finish in the gym with snacks and games.

HANDS & FEET MINISTRY
- As many of you know, for many years on the 4th Wednesday of the month the children Kindergarten- 6th grade have participated in a ministry called Hands and Feet. This is a way for them to minister and give back within our church, the Spokane community and even outside the US. There are so many ways to serve.We are reaching out to you, our church family for help. How can you help?
- Would you like to spearhead one of these evenings? Commitment would be one Wednesday 6:30-8:00, and whatever time it takes to set up. Be in charge. (We will make sure you have plenty of help)
- Do you have a great idea of a way the kids can serve? Please share your ideas and we will find someone to take the lead.
- Show up to help in any way needed! No planning needed. Just come and be a light to the kids.

- Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!
