ALL-CHURCH BBQ | Wednesday, August 14 – 6p

Summertime is the time for fun, togetherness and BBQ’s.  Meat and drinks will be provided.  You provide the rest, (a bag of chips, a side dish, a desert…you get the idea).  Come enjoy fun for the whole family.  Games will be set up on the lawn.  Hey, we’re a family!  You belong.

 

JOY’S GARDEN PARTY | Saturday, August 17 – 10:30a

Ladies, you are invited to Joy’s home for brunch and then to pick flowers to take home for flower

Arrangements.  Flyers are available in the Holy Grounds with details and registration information.

 

LABOR DAY FAMILY CAMP | August 30-Sept. 2

 Cabin brochures with details are available in the Holy Grounds.  Registration deadline is August 23rd, so be sure you reserve your spot.  You don’t want to miss out on a great weekend with your SFNAZ family

 

SFNAZ MUSIC & DRAMA PERFORMANCE | Wednesday, August 28 – 7p

Summer Music & Drama presents “GOD SQUAD.”  Join us as the God Squad jumps into action! Their mission?  To help rescue students who have been swayed by the alluring powers of the deceitful ME Dominion.  Doors open at 6:45p.

 

DYNAMIC MARRIAGE | September 4 – 6:30p

Dynamic Marriage is a 9-week class that will take your marriage to new heights.  Invest $130 per couple and discover new things about your marriage no matter how long you’ve been married.  This class starts September 4 at 6:30p and meets each Wednesday following.  Check out Church Center to sign up or contact the office.  Limited availability…sign up soon.

Are you looking for a way to connect with friends?  Life Groups are such a cool way of doing that.  Check out Church Center right now.  There are several that have openings, and they would love to welcome you. If you don’t find the perfect fit, please call the office and let them know what you’re looking for.

 

YOUNG ADULT HANGOUT | Tuesdays – 6p

Calling all young adults (18-30) to come meet with Pastor Lake in the library for a weekly time to hang out and connect with other young adults.

SFNAZ YOUTH MINISTRIES

6-12 graders, you are invited to join the youth group on Wednesdays 6:30-8pm through the summer for a time of fellowship and fun. We will be doing a different fun activity each week.

Worship Team

  • If you have an interest in being a part of the Sunday morning worship team, reach out to David Dixon. We are always interested in exploring how different people’s musical gifts fit into our weekly worship rhythms.

Audio/Visual Media Team

  • Are you a techie or creative person, or both? We are always looking to train additional people in how to run our sound system and live streaming system. Or are you interested in helping us create video content to use online or during services let’s talk!

MISSIONS CORNER

Missions Growth

Church of the Nazarene is growing in South Madagascar.

  • Thanks to local leaders’ passion for church planting, the Ambovombe Zone in southern Madagascar has added more than 20 new churches of the Nazarene in the last three years. 3 days of training equipped leaders for continued evangelism and discipleship in their communities.

 

Mission Outreach

Water and life help develop rural Argentina church and its community.

  • The Noroeste Argentino District, with the Maximum Missions program, and the district youth carried out the Water and Life project in the village of Azogasta, Argentina. The region has no electricity or drinking water.

 

An Ohio Church of the Nazarene revitalized a local baseball diamond as an act of Love towards its community. The revitalization of this community landmark has made an impact on the city of Mount Vernon.

 

NNU team joins locals to build WASH project.

  • A team of five Northwest Nazarene University engineering students and their professors join two Filipino engineers in building an off-grid public toilet with a hand washing station at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary.

 

Colorado Church provide support for local mothers

  • Cortez Church of the Nazarene in Colorado hosts and organizes the community’s lone support group for mothers and children. Thanks to the group, several young families have joined the church.

 

Missions Celebrates

East, West Mindanao Districts celebrate milestone. The East and West Districts of the Church of the Nazarene celebrated a milestone 50th anniversary with a 3-day event highlighting God’s faithfulness and provision for the church.

 

The Namibia District on the Africa South Field commemorated its 50th Anniversary at the first Church of the Nazarene in Khomasdal, Windhoek.

The Church of the Nazarene in Luxembourg is one of the youngest Nazarene churches in the world.  Celebrating it’s thriving through God’s grace and the dedication of its members.
