Sending and Going

Sending and Going

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.” ~ Matthew 9:35-38

I recently returned from a month-long mission trip to Kenya. What an amazing experience serving as the hands and feet of God. Beyond the excitement of returning to Kenya for the fifth time, serving alongside dozens of long-time friends and new acquaintances and seeing God’s hand in everything we did. It was a truly humbling experience for me.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on over 20 mission teams – some right close to home, some a day or two’s drive and some traveling to far off lands. One thing that has been a constant for every opportunity has been the amazing support of my church family.

In Matthew 28, Jesus commands the disciples to “GO and make disciples of all nations.”  Over the years, many in our congregation have answered that call to ‘GO,’ but even more have followed God’s command to ‘SEND out workers into His harvest.”  Without the continued support of the SFNaz family, much of the work that has been done and the lives changed may not have happened.

It’s because of your support, the Nueva Esperanza Church and school continues to serve the children and families of Puerto Cortez, Honduras.

It’s because of your support, Republic Church of the Nazarene’s parsonage was remodeled.

It’s because of your support, that Pastor Eunice and Pastor Helen reported the churches we helped build near Kitui, Kenya are still thriving and reaching out into their communities. They reported that each of their churches have birthed new congregations since our team helped construct their churches in 2012.

It’s because of your support, the Sweet Surrender Coffee Shop in Poznan, Poland continues to help meet the needs of their community and hundreds of Ukrainian refugees.

It’s because of your support, pastors in South Asia have received much needed education, allowing them to return to their homelands and reach others in Jesus’ name.

It’s because of your support, that excitement and attendance grow in the Nazarene churches of Voi and Kanyangi, Kenya. Both of whom recently hosted teams sponsored by SFNaz that provided free medical care, clothing, shoes and were able to share the gospel with their communities in a new way.

The list could go on and on…

It’s because of your continued support that even more lives will be changed, families and communities will be impacted. If one, even just one more person’s name is written in the Book of Life, it’s all been worth it.

Humbly submitted,
Pastor Victor
