Newsletter Devotional 12/23/21

I greet you all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and welcome us to the week of Christmas!  I want to compile an acrostic for Christmas with scripture to accompany each word.

C= Christ: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is CHRIST the Lord. Luke 2:11

H= Highest Heaven: “Glory to God in the HIGHEST HEAVEN, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”  Luke 2:14

R= Repentance: “God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give REPENTANCE and forgiveness of sins to Israel.” Acts 5:31

I= Immanuel: “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him “IMMANUEL” (which means “God with us:) Matthew 1:22-23

S= Shepherds: : The SHEPHERDS returned , glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” Luke 2:20

T= True Light: “The TRUE LIGHT that gives light to every man was coming into the world” John 1:9

M= Mighty God: “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

A= Angel: And an ANGEL of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were terrified. Luke 2:9

S= Son of God: “The angel answered. “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the SON OF GOD.” Luke 1:35
