What to Expect

What to Expect

Welcome

We know that visiting a new church can be challenging.  We want you to feel comfortable and know what to expect during your first visit to SFNAZ.  We hope that through the ministries of SFNAZ, you will find new ways to take your next step with Jesus.

Two  Morning Services | 9:30am and 11:00am

On most Sunday’s we have two morning services, that both represent different worship styles.  You can read more about our Sunday morning services here this link also includes info on what to wear. Both services are about an hour long, and childcare is available in both.

Parking and Entrances

We are blessed with ample parking, so you’re sure to find a spot.  There are two primary entrances to the building one (the Gym entrance) faces west on the northwest corner of the building, and one (the Sanctuary entrance) faces north on the northeast corner.  Both entrances will get you to your destination, but if walking any distance is a challenge, the northeast entrance leads directly to the sanctuary.  There is also several handicap parking spots available close to this north facing entrance.  Click the aerial image of our facility for a bird’s eye view.

Getting Around

The SFNAZ facility is fairly large, and your first time there, we want you to know where to go. Click on the map of the building for a better idea of the building layout.  The sanctuary is shown on the far left in grey.  The children’s wing is in the middle of the building, shown in teal.  The Family Life Center to the right in green.  Lastly, the Teen Room is located upstairs in the back of the gym, shown on the map in orange.  Bathrooms are shown in bright yellow.

Children and Security

For the safety of children, we limit access to the children’s wing.  Only staff and volunteers who have had background checks are allowed beyond the double doors.  Check in starts at the counter opposite of the children’s wing entrance.  If dropping off your children for the first time, please notify the volunteer at the check-in counter and they will assist you in getting checked in.  We offer self check-in for returning families, if you’ve checked-in previously you simply enter your phone number into the check-in station, and the app will lead you through check-in and printing your child’s name tags.  At the conclusion of the service, present your check-in receipt to the volunteer at the double doors and they will assist you in collecting your children.

Highlights Cards and Sermon Notes

As you enter into the sanctuary each Sunday, the usher will present you with both a Ministry Highlights card and an optional Sermon Notes sheet.  The Ministry Highlights card is a great place to learn about upcoming events and announcements.  Pastor Bill provides the Sermon Notes sheet for those who like to follow along taking notes throughout the sermon.

Offering

At some point during each service we will receive an offering.  As our guest, please don’t feel obligated to give, but also feel free to drop something in the plate.  The tithes and offerings and offerings we collect are used to fund both local and global ministry.  As a connected church, a portion of every donation is used to support evangelistic efforts globally.  You can learn more about global missions here. You can also make a donation online.
