What to Expect

What to Expect

Welcome

We know that visiting a new church can be challenging.  We want you to feel comfortable and know what to expect during your first visit to SFNAZ.  We hope that through the ministries of SFNAZ, you will find new ways to take your next step with Jesus.

Morning Service | 10:45am WORSHIP

We have one service on Sunday mornings. We strive for a blended worship style that mixes contemporary songs and remakes of classic hymns performed live by our worship team (drums, guitars, keys, etc).

Learning and Growth Opportunities

At 9:30AM there are opportunities for learning and growth. Learn more about these classes here in the newsletter.

Parking and Entrances

We are blessed with ample parking, so you’re sure to find a spot.  There are two primary entrances to the building one (the Gym entrance) faces west on the northwest corner of the building, and one (the Sanctuary entrance) faces north on the northeast corner.  Both entrances will get you to your destination, but if walking any distance is a challenge, the northeast entrance leads directly to the sanctuary.  There is also several handicap parking spots available close to this north facing entrance.  Click the aerial image of our facility for a bird’s eye view.

Getting Around

The SFNAZ facility is fairly large, and your first time there, we want you to know where to go. Click on the map of the building for a better idea of the building layout.  The sanctuary is shown on the far left in grey.  The children’s wing is in the middle of the building, shown in teal.  The Family Life Center to the right in green.  Lastly, the Teen Room is located upstairs in the back of the gym, shown on the map in orange.  Bathrooms are shown in bright yellow.

Children and Security

For the safety of children, we limit access to the children’s wing.  Only staff and volunteers who have had background checks are allowed beyond the double doors.  Check in starts at the counter opposite of the children’s wing entrance.  If dropping off your children for the first time, please notify the volunteer at the check-in counter and they will assist you in getting checked in.  We offer self check-in for returning families, if you’ve checked-in previously you simply enter your phone number into the check-in station, and the app will lead you through check-in and printing your child’s name tags.  At the conclusion of the service, present your check-in receipt to the volunteer at the double doors and they will assist you in collecting your children.

Highlights Cards

As you enter into the sanctuary each Sunday, the usher will present you with a Ministry Highlights card.  The Ministry Highlights card is a great place to learn about upcoming events and announcements.

Offering

Many attenders choose to make a regular monetary contribution. We collect these offerings in a locked box located at the entrance of the sanctuary. These tithes and offerings we collect are used to fund both local and global ministry.  As our guest, please don’t feel obligated to give, but also feel free to drop something in the box.  As a connected church, a portion of every donation is used to support evangelistic efforts globally.  You can learn more about global missions here. You can also make a donation online.
