Shawn Stevenson

Pastor Shawn has been serving as Pastor of Student Ministries and Discipleship since the spring of 2017.

Prior to his time at SFNAZ Shawn has served in a variety of pastoral, non-profit and educational roles.  Most recently serving as the Executive Director of Life Services of Spokane. From 2009 to 2014, Shawn served as Lead Pastor of Crestline Church of the Nazarene in northeast Spokane. It was during this time Shawn was also the founding Executive Director of the non-profit NorthwestConnect. Prior to moving to Spokane in 2009, Shawn served in the Kansas City area at both Nazarene Theological Seminary and Overland Park Church of the Nazarene.

Shawn grew up on a small family farm outside of Yakima, WA.  He has degrees from both Washington State University (Biology Education) and Nazarene Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity).  Shawn is currently pursuing a doctorate at Gonzaga University studying leadership in the church.

Shawn and his wife Jill (who is a pharmacist) have two children Sadie and Theron.  Shawn is a technology geek, who enjoys building websites, shooting photos and video, and teaching others how to do the same.  Shawn can often be found re-watching old sci-fi episodes on Netflix.  His wife thinks he’s weird because he’ll choose fruit desserts over chocolate any day.
